I used the original Merlin engine and tuned it up. Here's a list of modifications:

  • Increased Engine Volume
  • Second intake and intake tuning
  • Second exhaust
  • Higher redline
  • stronger starter motor
  • New transmission (2 gears, for a more realistic plane speed, first gear for lower speed, but more air acceleration, second for higher speed but lower air acceleration)
  • Tuning of vehicle parameters to give it a realistic plane representation
  • Tuning of clutch for a propper plane feel, so it doesn't accelerate like a car, but rather how it should. (compare it to a cvt) You can change it slightly to get better acceleration overall, but right now it's perfect so i dont recommend it. (but do whatever you want)
