Another fairly accurate remake of the 3.2 Litre, Twin-Turbo Boxer 6 Engine found in the 1980 Kremer Porsche 935 K3.
Yet another great sounding engine build, but this time with a special "Turbo" effect that I managed to make to replicate power building as the turbos spool up. Again credit to GearheadLydia for my base build, this time I had used their Porsche M64 engine. I slightly exaggerated the "Turbo" effect so it's much more noticeable when "driving" and revving the engine. It works by cranking up the pressure into the intake manifold and then tuning the engine's timing curve to create a gradual "spool" effect and a huge jump in power in the higher RPM ranges. Your AIR SCFM guage should act as your rudimentary "boost pressure guage" and when it hits 450 at around 5200rpm, you should notice the guage bump up and the engine's power increase onwards to the 8320rpm rev limiter.
The engine should make about 500hp @8100rpm and 320lb-ft of torque @7970rpm, which is pretty far under spec but was the highest I could realistically push the boost pressure.
Here's the "boost" guage, and approximately when the boost kicks in.
As stated previously, this is equivalent to about 5200rpm in engine speed.
Again, use the clutch during upshifts and heel-toe downshift to really get the best experience. Like my M1 build, it's also a great engine to practice on, but the gears are a little shorter and the change in power with RPMs does complicate things slightly.
I also have a custom color palette and theme, which you can download HERE.
Thanks, have fun!
