Realistic MotoGP Ducati DesmoGP V4 Engine

Here's another engine I worked on way before my F1 projects:

This one is a realistic-sounding Ducati MotoGP V4 (DesmoGP) engine that features a 70° crank offset. Let me explain: in a typical V4, the ideal geometric arrangement might suggest a 90° spread between crankpins, but Ducati uses a 70° offset instead. This deliberate adjustment alters the firing dynamics and inertia forces—helping to smooth out the power delivery and optimize the engine’s response. Essentially, the 70° crank offset refines the combustion timing and exhaust scavenging, which not only contributes to better performance at every rpm—from rev climbing and partial throttle to full gas—but also gives the engine its signature aggressive sound.

you can see the crank here, on Ducati's own Youtube channel:

You can see that 2 cylinder fires at almost the same time.

If you listen to the Panigale V4R alongside Ducati’s MotoGP bikes, the similarities in their tonal characteristics become apparent, confirming that they likely share similar internal specs.

This engine, which produces around 300 hp, captures Ducati’s reputation for high-performance and dominance in engine design. Of course, I might be off on the exact figures, but all I know is that this engine sounds very much like the real deal.

I must Credit Ange again for the Ferrari 412  T2 engine base lol.

Enjoy the sound! :D
