The 1950 BMW R25 features a 247cc single-cylinder engine with a square 68 mm bore and 68 mm stroke. Utilizing an overhead valve (OHV) architecture and a 6.5:1 compression ratio, the engine produces 11.8 hp @ 5800 RPM and is capable of running on low-octane fuel.
