Also known as the pinnacle of 2-stroke diesels besides its bigger 710 brother, this V16 is extraordinary for its incredible power and torque in the marine and railway sectors. Known to power EMD SD40s (and its -2 variant), SD45s and GP40s, the incredibly powerful DDA40X, the Spanish Class 333, marine propulsion and power generation. The picture shown is an SD40, which is powered by one.
