This is the 5.0l V10 used in 2005 - 2010 M5 (E60/61) and M6s (E63/64).
Most metrics are correct and from accurate and direct documentation of BMW or reliable sources. Airflow might be a lot different from the original, which results in Turbocharged like sound at high RPMs.
Realistic power loss at high RPMs.
Different torque curve from the original.
Correct engine displacement.
Horsepower:
507 @7500 - 7750 RPM (In some Runs the power output might be higher or lower.)
Torque:
Torque output is lower than the original.
370 - 373 lb-ft / 501 - 507 Nm @7500 - 7750 RPM.
Actual torque output is 384 lb-ft / 520 Nm @6100 RPM.
Top Speed:
Top speed is 166 Mph / 267 Kmh.
RPM:
Redline @8250 RPM.
Rev. limiter @8500 RPM.
Idle @1045 RPM.
Instalation:
To Install, place the file anywhere in your "assets\engines" folder. I would recommend to put it into the "assets\engines\bmw" folder. Proceed with the engine change procedure mentioned in Engine-Sim documentation
Update 1.01:
More consistent Power Output.
Flipped cylinder head 1 Display.
Increased RPM limiter to 8500, for smoother shifts.
Increased idle RPM to about 1050 RPM.
